    Rare Triumvirat Photo

A facebook friend of mine, Hans-Juergen Ferdinand Schutte, posted a rare Triumvirat photo on fb showing Juergen Fritz at his keyboards during a live performance of Triumvirat in Krefeld, Germany in 1973, that I thought I'd share with you folks.

Nice to see those analog keys in action. They sounded correct and still do. Hope this inspires at least one person to make the effort to
get their hands on one and put the digital version up for auction.

The digital one would still be OK for birthdays, weddings and Bar Mitzvahs.

Here is another rare Triumvirat photo, this being an advert for Laney Amplifiers, with a photo of the band in a German Festival in 1972.

Slightly off-topic. I don't know who owns the rights but I would really appreciate a (remastered) re-issue of the complete Triumvirat catalog (yes, including the "infamous" Russian Roulette and A La Carte) in the form of a deluxe-boxset, if possible with extra (previously unreleased) material and detailed band history (booklet)
It would be a autobuy for me, though I already have most of their CD's but being from various labels and sources the (sound) quality is uneven.

Why are Russian Roulette and A La Carte considered infamous? I'm totally unfamiliar with Triumvirat, so maybe this is a dumb question.

Well, those last 2 are not really prog.
A la carte only has Jürgen Fritz from the original group. There are also a lot of guests and David Hanselmann on vocals.
Russian roulette has probably the most ugly album cover of all Triumvirat albums. Perhaps it symbolises the album

Again it's Jürgen Fritz from the original line-up with Jeff Porcaro on drums and Steve Lukather on bass and guitar and several other musicians, including David Hungate on bass. Arno Steffens handless vocals.

No, it isn't. It is pretty good, not Triumvirat, but good.

I recognize your peculiar obsession with all things related to Triumvirat. If you genuinely think this is a good album there isn’t much to discuss.

    That was the working title.

As opinions about music are so subjective, your impressions are just as valid as mine, even though we differ on this. (I guess if we all felt the same about things, it would be a pretty boring world)

Says on Jurgen Fritz' web site that he's been Tommy Engel's musical director/pianist since the late 90s.

Hey, if a guy's gotta have an obsession about something, Triumvirat's a pretty good choice...

Wasn't Flaming Turd the band Phil Collins ruined before Genesis?
