Hoping to score an early promo copy if all goes well! If not, well this will be mine one way or another.

And as always, I'm just amazed at the number of unheard songs that surface with each of these sets. Tull already has a lot of non-album tracks that we've heard, but then these brand 'new' ones appear like magic! Amazing...

Very much looking forward to hearing Botanic Man and A Town In England, as well as that early version of Jack-A-Lynn!

No, that was a home demo recording Ian made in 1981. Hence my curiosity to hear the version from several years prior!

After finding out this morning that my wife drove on a flat tire until the whole wheel rim was irreparably bent, this news more than made up for it, and made my day. Another full live show, very exciting! Interesting bonus material. I guess another full-length DVD would have been too much to ask. I'm in for sure unless Ian goes with Roxy Music pricing on this...

    What are those?

Is this the last SW Tull box you think?
If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.

    Damn, I gotta have this.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

I'm guessing they are previously unheard songs, in keeping with the previous boxes (Commercial Traveler, Tomorrow Was Today, Good Godmother, Old Aces Die Hard, etc...)

No, I don't think this will be the last one. It might be the last one S. Wilson participates in, but I can't see them stopping the series at this point, these seem pretty popular.

I just looked, and one of the songs from the Rock Opera called FRUITS OF FRANKENFIELD has the lines "Transgenic, cool mechanic. Think botanic, still organic." It's a stretch but I'm wondering if this song could have been derived from Botanic Man? Can't really go by one word though...

I'm looking forward to this too, and also hope for a Stormwatch box.

^^^ My guess is similar to yours. Why stop when the series does have an excited following, like all of us... Hopefully they'll get to Under Wraps and do the remix with real drums. That would be a lot of fun and I know Ian has been talking about that since around the time of the 20th Anniversary box.

    14. Horse-Hoeing Husbandry

Trivia note: this is the title of a book on agriculture by the original Jethro Tull.

^^^ My guess is similar to yours. Why stop when the series does have an excited following, like all of us... Hopefully they'll get to Under Wraps and do the remix with real drums. That would be a lot of fun and I know Ian has been talking about that since around the time of the 20th Anniversary box.
Nah keep the original drums. Wilson can get them to sound a lot better with eq work etc. Maybe add some cymbals if needed. They are Ludwig samples. Using modern drums on this would ruin it like Blizzard of Oz was ruined with the re release.

No Eq is going to make PFFT OONTZ PFFT OONTZ sound good.

eq and volume can fix it. The snare was made too tinny and there was too much bass in the kick. The remaster made these even worse.

Really? I've been keeping a close eye on these proceedings and haven't heard him mention that. Good news!

Excellent - I'd probably forgotten that, and forgot about A as I often do. But great that those three are planned
