I'm discovering Alison Krauss's brother, who plays mostly-instrumental music on multiple stringed instruments. He's really good. Sort of a mix of Daniel Lanois with Michael Rother maybe? With a touch of Jerry Douglas when he plays dobro.

Got his CD "II" with the first mentioned songs AND this cover:
Very fine with great musicians like Matt Chamberlain, Dean Parks and Bill Frissell.
Don't know his solo output, but saw him 10 or so years ago as the bassist in Bill Frisell's trio. Beautiful sound and ideas.

Happy with what I have to be happy with.
Love both of his CDs from the 00's, been 10 yrs since II, time for another.
Yes, it is time for another. Really good stuff.
When he teams up with his sister it is pretty divine. Big Log from far from enough is really nice. Robert Plant approves.
I would love to see any of his solo stuff live.
He plays with Lyle Lovett, in addition to Frissell so i see him once a year or so.

Nostalgia, you know, ain't what it used to be. Furthermore, they tells me, it never was.

His two solo albums are excellent, especially his second. Just gorgeous.
