Here's a review of said album: http://theprogressiveaspect.net/blog...off-the-radar/
Ordered!! Hope it will show up soon. Can't wait!
two plays in and VERY impressed so far.
Need more plays but I think this can easily stand among the best IB has done (The voyage, mind vol 1)
Received it a couple of days ago and after the 4th spin I can say it's a very strong record, maybe one of their best. Many styles and influences throughout (I especially like the Zappa-esque/contemporary moves) but it never sounds dated or recognizable. Excellent production too. This is what I am looking for in current "modern prog".
Highly recommended.
Thank you all for your thoughts on Off the Radar. The IB wish you all a Happy new 2018! Hope to see some of you at Night of the Prog on July 15.
Happy news years to you and the others of IB too!
Speaking of live dates; the material on off the radar seems perfectly fit to tour with a smaller ensemble. Are there any IB touring plans?
Is this record available anywhere stateside yet? Wayside? Greg Walker? Wal-mart?
The Culture Cafe, Sundays 6-9am on WWUH-FM
Broadcasting from the University of Hartford, CT at 91.3FM, streaming at www.wwuh.streamrewind.com and at www.wwuh.org
Was enjoying this for the third time today. This is nothing but a Masterpiece! Without a doubt IB's strongest hour since Mind Vol 1, or even The Voyage. Highly recoommended! Just can't stop listening to it. Thank You IB for this SUPERB album!!
I really like this album. It needs many more plays to fully grasp all that's going on in it.
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
Off the Radar is available for streaming and download from the usual suspects. Here's the Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/album/0M7VW...T8KTaKoXhuD-_g
If you like what you hear, I encourage you to support the musicians involved and buy the album.
