A quote from our own brother Scrotum. OK, here's the spot to elaborate. Remember, camples are acceptable and expected (but let's not go full Svetonio with this thing).

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
Well, just to state the absolutely obvious for starters:
"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM
Siena Root:
"Corn Flakes pissed in. You ranted. Mission accomplished. Thread closed."
-Cozy 3:16-
Love Blues Pills. Retro as hell, but what they are doing is fantastic stuff.
The Amazing.

Nice Korg MS 20 I think
I would rather have seen more of the group and less other stuff. Like the music.
I love the vibe on this

Another of the subliminal acts:
One of the characters who initiated this Whole thing (and Spacefreak/Spyros will know all about it) was St. Mikael, an enigmatic art-school dude from the early/mid-80s. He has released some albums which are rightfully legendary on their turf, but remains pretty much legendarily obscure even in the domain of Swedish "deep" neo-psychedelia. It's hard to find early clips of him, but no one - none - during the years of '90s Nordic Prog renaissance' failed to know his stuff.
And then the legends:
"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM
My favorite is Avatarium for fans of classic era Rainbow, Deep Purple, Sabbath, Uriah Heep etc. This lady sure can sing:
Half of my 2017 listening was comprised of Swedish and Norwegian "retro" Prog.
What the hell's wrong with me?

There are a couple of obscure names coming up to me. Anglagard, Anekdoten, Opeth etc.
