It's not on the scale as 'Cruise to the Edge' which is financially and logistically out of my reach but this should be fun, the Port of Hull is within 20 miles from where I live so I'm in😊

^ It's called HMS Prog, not Tales on Topographic Oceans.
"It's a Ferry Boat-Full of Prog!"
Should be fun - some band will have to do "North Sea Oil!"
Horrible planning. The North Sea in March is a pretty unforgiving place and could be very uncomfortable. Plus it clashes majorly with the annual 3 day ProgDreams festival in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands where quite a lot of UK prog fans also go to on a yearly basis.
Sounds like a perfect storm!
Looks like a mad way to spend a March weekend - I've booked our cabin today.
The HMS Prog lineup is currently advertised as:
Geoff Downes
Focus
Caravan
Martin Turner
Cairo
Pendragon (Acoustic)
Roger Dean
This is obviously aimed primarily at the UK Prog fans and its a shame about the clash with the ProgDreams festival.
Cairo are being a bit clever - they're due to play ProgDreams on the Saturday and appear to be using HMS Prog as their transport to get there whilst playing a warm-up show on the way!
HMS Proggy McProgface?
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.
OK, the official name of the event is HMS Prog lol
PFM have been added at the expense of Focus due contractual obligatiions!. Bit of a damper for me cos' was looking forward to Focus and not being familiar with PFM.
Looks like it will basically be freezing conditions when the HMS Prog sets out from Kingston Upon Hull next week! I'm sure it will be cozy below decks, however.
The real question on everyone's mind is what will be the quality and variety of scrambled egg dish offerings....
Our tickets arrived in the post earlier this week.
Not too bothered about the cold (I'm a survivor of the HRH Prog festival held at the icy blast furnace in Rotherham some years ago) and the winds aren't going to be that bad (surely not enough to prevent the ferry from sailing).
I think were a bit short on basic information from the organisers though and I was not too happy to find that the website is off-line at the moment - that can't be a good thing at this stage. Any other information out there?

Thanks for that, Henry.
Still worrying that the website is still down.
Here’s a photo of the first band:

Isn't that the infamous tribute band "Status Quartet" getting stuck into:
Get down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Get down deeper and down
I want all the world to see
To see you're laughing, and you're laughing at me
I can take it all from you
Again again again again
Again again again and deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Get down deeper and down....
What....no encore?
Assuming the cruise is on, I really hope those of you going take photos and will post a review here - very interested to hear about it as it will no doubt be very different from CTTE, but possibly in good ways.
Ha! You probably jest, but there definitely is potential for strong winds and blizzards as the depression moves up from the south-west. It's all a question of trajectory and timing. *suddenly realizes he's standing on his own with the barmaid shaking her head sadly at him*
