    By the way Malcolm Duncan (AWB) joined the band of some of my friends (BePhunk) on stage at our local jazz club.
    He is a really cool guy.

    I actually thought about posting at least one of the original versions of those tunes from their debut, but then I discovered that you can't link more than three videos on a post... and I got lazy. I love "Heavy Metal Bebop" and Terry Bozzio, but I just think Harvey Mason was funkier on that debut. And legend has it that he read those tunes down at the studio sessions without ever hearing them prior. Wow!

    My girlfriend turned me on to him. He played a free show at the Montreal Jazzfest , where she saw him. She then seeked out his CDs. He's got a couple of radio-friendly tunes on his newest one, but that first one has got a slightly harder edge to it. Very cool that you'll be on the same bill!

    all these bands are included on the Funk Box of which I have a copy. 4 cd's of killin smoking stuff from the heyday of FUNK!
