Last night Tom Petty was rushed to the hospital for cardiac arrest. TMZ reports that upon arrival, there was no brain activity and a decision was made to pull him off life support.

Rest in peace. He wrote some good songs solo, with the Heartbreakers and with the Travelling Wilburys. He was too young to go.
