    Subdivisions cover

    Hi everyone,

I'm very happy to report that my new progressive rock project, Possible Worlds, has completed our first album. The CDs are being pressed as we speak and should be in within two weeks. In the meantime, I put up on YouTube a cover of one of my favorite songs, Rush's "Subdivisions." I've always loved Neil Peart as a lyricist (especially his work in the '80s), and wanted to do a version of the song that put his lyrics front and center. Hope you like it!

Very good, your band really makes it its own. What's your role in the band? Is it you singing?

Cool, I liked the guitar. Let us know if you post more tunes! You definitely did highlight the lyric in an effective way - it's certainly a good one.

So now that I went looking for this thread, Dan, this is wonderfully interpreted. Are you doing ALL the guitar parts at both ends of the sonic spectrum?

    Great work, man!

Thanks, Geezer! Yeah, I'm playing all the guitars, as well as the keys, some of the backing vocals, and the absurdly loud tambourine.

(Now that I think of it, Absurdly Loud Tambourine should be the name of the next record... )

Seriously though, thanks for stopping by and checking it out...
