    Caligula's Horse - In Contact

    hey fellas, what you think of this new release? I like the way it kicks in... blam! I hear some seriously monumental riffs there. Even the spoken bit, tho weird, builds up tension for the following number. Have only done one pass. There is a lot to digest. Vallen is superb on guitars. Bass isn't articulated enough in given musical context, imho. Grey shines throughout as per usual. I'll be doing more spins...

    It needs more spins for me, but after each listen I like a new song or two. It didn't grab me as immediately as Bloom, but has the potential to surpass it. Requiring multiple listens is almost a requirement to being a good album.

    Tracks 7 and 9 are outstanding! 9 is ground breaking with those hints of middle east harmonies (as seen on the Tide...) and 7 is awesome in it's 3/4... Minor gripe with #10, which is a tad stretched out and no major hook there. #1 and 2 are superb (especially #2). #5 is as good as it gets (mainstream CH track. But that gritty bass is missing...
