Magma was recording Theusz Hamthaak when Yann Lagrange asked Vander to use their music for his film Tristan et Yseult. Vander lend him a tape to choose themes, but Lagrange actually used the tape for the film against the knowledge and agreement of Vander. So Vander decided to re-record the music which would become Würdah Itah.

So Wurdah Itah is essentially a reworked early Theusz Hamtaahk is what you're saying? That would make sense seeing as how the first couple minutes of each piece is essentially the same.

Wurdah Ïtah is (and I think was always ment to be ) the second mouvement of Theusz Hamtaahk. The first time the 3 mouvements were released together was for the 2000 Trianon concert in Paris.

One of my favorite pieces of music. Gotta go with the Retrospektiw, it was the first one that clicked with me and I love the reverb on the drums during the "trance" section. Incredible piece.

Has it ever been pointed out that sections of "Mûh" are basically a Kobaian version of "Louie Louie"?

    No.

Does Don play on the mighty, majestic, Albert Hall pipe organ??

Which section is ""Mûh" and where is the version you are referring to found (I have them all, but I don't know their names)

"Mûh" is the last track on the first album. The "Louie Louie" lick first appears around 3:07.

But can you hear it when the amplifiers are turned up?

I did what you perscribed, and didn't get up due to technical problems (temporary paralysis caused by back-ache). This is insanely insane. Very much keyboards and synths driven music, which I think suits their vision perfectly. Of course it's no Final Countdown, but almost there as an achievement.

It took a lot of time but I am totally converted by now. But I still don't have the guts to face regularly the onslaught that MDK is.

It certainly does. Out of tune piano too! Very rock 'n' roll!

Thanks for the suggestions. KA has nothing to envy from Magma's earliest masterpieces. Attahk is extra-cool too. Uncle Frank approves.
