    Leprous' new album Malina

    Any fans of Leprous here?

I saw them live a few years ago, not having heard any of their music, and I was blown away by their hybrid mix of prog and metal and the sheer intensity in their performance. I've been enjoying their albums on release since then, and I think their new one Malina might possibly be their best one yet - I got the sense that they've tried to up their game in terms of shaping their songs to make them more accessible but without losing any of the originality I like about them.

I've put a few thoughts together on this new release, which you're welcome to read over on my blog:

    Cheers

The Last Milestone is a beautiful song. Reminds me of Arvo Pärt.

I've only heard it on a internet radio show yesterday and then on my drive into work today, so I haven't had the opportunity to give it the proper dedicated listening. There seem to be far fewer heavy bits than earlier material which I miss to a degree.
Great review, by the way, John! They are always informative.

I'm an unapologetic fanboy. Favorite track so far - Mirage.

I'd weigh in with The Weight Of Disaster right now.
