Paul Draper's first solo album - Spooky Action (for fans of Mansun)
If any of you were fans of the band Mansun and their ahead-of-its-time album Six, then you might be interested in the first solo album by their main writer Paul Draper.
Draper was so traumatised by the disintegration of his earlier band, that it took him over a decade before he would consider returning to write music, and it took a bit of encouragement from the likes of Steven Wilson and Catherine Anne Davies (The Anchoress) to get him up and running. But he's now just released his album Spooky Action, with a lot of support from the Kscope label, with its usual care and attention to packaging and artwork.
I wasn't sure what I'd think of it, not having heard much by his original band, but in fact it grew on me very quickly and continues to do so.
Here's my take on it, if anyone would like to read more:

This is like the fourth album I know of to use that title - in prog circles, it was already used by The Fierce and The Dead. Is it a cultural reference that I don't get...?

It's an Albert Einstein quote and physics reference, more generally quoted as "spooky action at a distance". Details here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_at_a_distance
