By looking through the Gentle Giant blazemeonger website I found this music student paper about Gentle Giant , The Missing Piece in Rock's Academia ' by Dominic Stone University of Leeds 2016
Nice title and a good read, quite a lot of music analysis with scores, but the explanations are not too complicated if you know the standard vocabulary and a bit about harmony. It's downloadable as pdf.
