I'm in. That's one helluva lineup.

I'm intrigued, but the album teaser snippet is awfully noisy (i.e. lots of overplaying at one time).

It's what you would expect from so many shredders bunched together!

will check it out certainly. I can't help but have hoped for either Daniel Gildenlow or John Arch to be involved as I've hoped Mike would work either/both of them in an all-original music project for years (not Transatlantic btw, per Gildenlow I don't believe even wrote the 1 or 2 songs he was involved with on their last album).

Also Billy Sheehan seems to be in next to every band Portnoy forms now. If Portnoy formed a band of regulars he works with, the band might be good:

    Mike Portnoy
    Billy Sheehan
    Neal Morse
    Paul Gilbert

Still kinda bummed that his collaboration with John Sykes went nowhere, but that seems to be on John.

Not really a fan of Bumblefoot, but I like the rest of the lineup.

It sounds like Dream Theater attempting to impersonate Bubblemath, and not succeeding.

Exactly what the target audience will appreciate. By the way, I'm intrigued by Ron Thal because Christopher the guitarist in Morglbl worships him. Portnoy might be the "slow anchor" in this lineup. Value for my dollar since I love notes!

Hoping they push the envelope, but we'll see I guess.

If that was my 'live debut' I would try to get the video taken down.

Nostalgia, you know, ain't what it used to be. Furthermore, they tells me, it never was.

Not sure why. It was a solid Van Halen cover at an event that probably focuses on covers.

If you are judging Soto based on the video above, it isn't exactly a representative example. He's a damn good singer.

I might be more interested in hearing them do Van Halen live instead of their new material.

I have to agree with some of you here - can't get too excited about this "band". It's mostly my distaste for too many notes/metal, but I know a lot of people love that stuff. Soto surprised me when he was with Journey. Very good singer.

    Pretty impressive.

I'd never heard him with Journey before.

Wow, hes sounds much better here than with the metal band. Heck of a tune to boot, love that outro solo by the great Neal Schon.

Soto also tours as part of the West Coast touring unit of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Show:

Guys, don't pretend you don't remember Jeff was Yngwie Malmsteen's first singer. (And yes, the guy's awesome. He should've been in Van Halen at some point.)

Here are some pro-shot clips with great sound.
