Wow, great. Although it would have been perfect with a live-recording with Holdsworth.
Very curious about that fourth album.
Great interview and very related to this box, like this piece:
[Song playing in the bar is Travels With Myself, near the end.]
BB: Can I interrupt for a second?
RR: Sure.
BB: A brief listen to Allan [Holdsworth] on this.
RR: Why did you fade this out?
BB: I know. It was just going! No more space on the LP.
RR: Really? I love this whole thing. Yes, that's nice.
BB: Yes.
RR: This lick coming up here....
BB: [Laughs] That one's a killer! [To interviewers] Sorry.
RR: That's too bad. What happened next? You always wonder. You must have had about ten minutes more, right?
BB: Yeah, it went on for awhile, yes.
This would be a great way to announce that he's coming out of retirement.
OOAK in 5.1 is like a musical holy grail!

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
Dammit there goes my spending money from my next paycheque.

I can't really afford it but I'm definitely going to get it. One Of A Kind is still in my top 5 after all these years.
Which reminds me that I still have to read your book translating Broof's
Mmmmhhh!!... Fairly expensive (not that much considering that there are 8 discs), and maybe containing not-necessarily-essential unreleased stuff and some dickwad video medium (BRD or DVD-A) and sthat stoopid vinyl-sized boxset (for CDs) will not make this set an autobuy for me.
I do own two albums and a DVD (with Anette on vocals) from that era, so theoretically, I got what I need.
but I will keep an eye and an ear on that, though.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
While the Bruford Box Set still looks tempting, I hope Winterfold would consider doing standalone releases of the 5.1 DVD-A's of Feels Good To Me & One Of A Kind.
DVD-A is compatible with any standard DVD (and blu-ray) player. You only need a specialized DVD-A player if you want access to the lossless surround. (without a DVD-A player, surround will be DTS or Dolby)
Has anyone heard the 4th album demos? I assume they are with Dave Stewart (keys) John Clark (guitar) and Jeff Berlin (bass, maybe vocals too though I hope not)
