There was a thread a year or two ago that was about or got onto new new-prog releases. I've got the hankering again, and have been spinning the new Comedy of Errors as well as their previous albums. And I like the most recent Anubis album a lot.
Anyone have any new or recent neo-prog releases to recommend?
Looking forward to season of autumn. There'll be so many new tasty fruits.

I agree. I bought the latest Jadis, hoping it would be like More Than Meets the Eye, but it was not. I found it pretty dull.

At this stage in time, shouldn't it be called "Post Neo Progressive Rock".
I like a lot of NEO Prog but my interest usually wanes on most groups after a few releases.
There are exceptions to this rule.
The big news is that they haven't only moved beyond Genesis and Pink Floyd, but they've discovered Yes, VdGG, King Crimson (racey!) - and Michael Bolton.

Silhouette, Milennium, and Drifting Sun will all have new albums out in September.
They are not exactly brand new releases, but two bands with releases I have been enjoying recently are Elephants of Scotland and Red Bazar. I haven't bought the new Elephants of Scotland, but I really like their Home Away from Home and Execute and Breathe releases from 2013 and 2014.
One of my favorite releases from the last few years is Red Bazar's Tales from the Bookcase from 2016. The music is great with intelligent and well crafted lyrics. City and the Stars is the standout track, but the entire CD is good.
Wasn't sure if Elephants... was Neo - will check them out. Love the Red Bazar album.

The latest Jadis was a huge dissapointment, especially having high hopes for it after knowing that Martin Orford going to be involved.
The best Neo-prog release this years is John Mitchell's 'Lonely Robot' second CD
Neo Prog died somewhere during the mid 90s. Just the same uniformed boredom since then.
Just listened to that yesterday for the first time. Pleasant with a mid-period Porcupine Dream vibe to it.
