Playing that Weedpecker on Bandcamp right now - pretty awesome wall of sound.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

It's very nice. They seem to be going the Elder way.

Let me check out Mother Turtle whom I never heard , and the new Astrodome whom I never purchased. I have tried to like Naxatras with each of their releases, but they're just not for me.

Picked it up last night and very good! Slightly reminiscent of Weedpecker's latest release. Mother Turtle is also very interesting. More on the proggy/fusion side of the equation. I sampled their earlier works and although there are some interesting moments, too "proggy prog" for me. The debut in particular just has way too many vocals for my taste. This 3rd release has the band veering into a very interesting direction.

Kind of an amalgam of styles, but close enough to space rock and the like.

Hey folks. I just got the above CD in the mail, and and ripping it as I type. Along with it, the good people at El Paraiso sent me an extra disc of the first Nicklas Sørensen solo disc. (Nicklas is the guitarist of Papir.) On my previous order, they sent me an extra disc of Brian Ellis & Brian Grainger's At Dusk. (I recognize Brian Ellis from Astra & Psicomagia.) Examples below...

Nicklas Sørensen has a very motorik thing going...

Brian Ellis & Brian Grainger have a very laid back, reflective going...

They are both excellent CDs and the both can be yours! You see, I already bought them some time ago. I'd rather pass these on to someone who would have a good chance at appreciating them, rather than trying to pawn them off on ambivalent local denizen. Message me with a mailing address, and I'll send them out within a week.
