Fayman-Fripp "A Temple in the Clouds" on Bandcamp (Name your price)

Projekt Records has just put the Jeffrey Fayman & Robert Fripp ambient album A Temple in the Clouds up on Bandcamp. It's a "name your price" sort of deal so download for free (or kick in some moolah to support the label and musicians.)

I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

Huh, I bought that album on CD many years ago. Still have it, good stuff.

I have the CD as well (bought at Tower Records RIP). Not my favorite but definitely some nice 'scapes on it.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

From what year is that album?
It was released in 2000, but anyone knows when it was recorded?

The bandcamp site says its "Frippertronics" but
from the mid 90s Fripp went from analogue to digital,
    so Frippertronics changed into Soundscapes.

So if the album was recorded in 2000, this is not Frippertronics
but Soundscapes. Not nitpicking, but for me it is a big difference.
I just love the sound of Frippertronics, but think he lost something
    when he went digital...

The album came out in 2000. The description may not be technically correct, but it is in the ballpark (close enough for government work, as they say).

According to the liner notes, in 1992 Fripp and Fayman took a pilgrimage to the Greek temple of Anapraxis (along with three tons of recording equipment) with the idea of hopefully capturing some of the mystique of ancient Greece on tape. The sounds captured there - along with some samples from Fripp's Let the Power Fall, - comprise the four tracks on A Temple in the Clouds.

So though the album is from 2000, the soundscapes apparently date to 1992.

Regardless, I'd never heard this stuff before, and it's exactly what I needed to hear right now. I've playing around the last few weeks with some unused guitar soundscapes - test runs, leftovers, discarded or forgotten improvs, I hate to let any music I've generated go to waste - playing around with layering music over them and grooves under them and stuff. This is good inspiration.

wasn't there something about fripp not really sanctioning this release or am I imagining that?
