They recorded this new(ish) album which, apart from the first 3 tracks that are Pop, is quite strong and of enough length to just start the CD on track 4
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

The meat of the new Carpe Diem is archival recordings from 1978 iirc. Best part of the album by far imho. 20-25mn worth ? (Iirc)

I didn't think about it that way, but you could be onto something (I mean of all of us in PE, you'd know best.. or better).
But I'd like to know what Patricia Dallio thinks about that!!
I mean, she was the only absent in the 44 1/2 thingie, and she was the AZ flag carrier into the millenium.

How is the boxset happening, BTW??

For anyone interested in Ghost Rhythms' music, which is discussed about here, you can also look at this :

This is my solo project (I'm Ghost Rhythms' drummer). It's a sequence of six tunes, with a prog/post-rock vibe. A single pulsation, like a star twinkle or a sonar, can be heard all along the EP, and the music is wrapped around it. I hope you'll like it !

How could they miss le bande avec le plus fromage: Camembert. And they just came out with a new one, and are the Zappa-est of the bunch.

Well, I see what you mean. Death-apocalyptic-cryptic Wagnerrock beats simple death metal tenfold for sure.

Since Pulsar were so phenomenal in the seventies, I would have to add the new band Siiilk which features Jacques Roman and Gilbert Gandil who have released 2 cd's, the latest from 2017 "Endless Mystery". And they are touring with Gong in October.
