Yes!! This is one of my favorite pieces Vander has ever been involved in.

That Offering box set is really an embarrassment of riches, IMO.

He's 70. I think they should get it done or else risk it doesn't.

Vander is supposed to have lots of sketches of new music lying around, so to have Zess as the next album would be a waste of time for me, at it would be, in the best case scenario, a piece we mostly know already, with possibly a few newer sections...

Wow. That sample is just awesomely beautiful.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.

    Which one?

The Offering sample. Haven't listened to the Otis one yet.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.

no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone

Finally got around to watching the "Otis" footage. Wow, who played the bass on that?

I'm willing to bet Vander can't make some of those sounds anymore...

I like some Offering songs more than Magma...Ehn Deiss is incredibly nice and atmospheric...

Most likely its Dominique Bertram on bass. From his solo album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzBQlRfM0h0

Besides it is already performed in live shows, not new stuff....

The definitive version has never been recorded. Only live versions exist and it has been said that is recording will be at the end of magma.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.

Unless they decide it isn't. They're the ones making the rules.

  17. #67
Well, of course. But that is what Vander himself has said, right?

Perhaps they could record it, but continue to tour, as long as they are willing and able.

Aren't most Magma pieces performed live first? I would expect that to continue.

Sweet! Zess or otherwise (I do agree with whoever said below that they should record it while Vander is still breathing) I'm excited, and I hope it's a full length album as opposed to those EPs that came out a few years ago.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.

I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.

^^^You're surely in the know. So Zess it is. I wonder who is the guest drummer.
