Yeah Trower has sang a lot lately and it sounds like he's doing the vocals on his new one coming out soon. I wish he wouldn't myself I don't care for his vocals at all.

On the title track, but it's more a recital of Auden's poem with instrumental backing.

Btw, Victor's great. You should get it.

Lead vocal by guitarist G.E. Stinson. VH1's New Visions aired this video a lot.

As I don't think we're limited to prog, I'll offer Ruyter Suys of Nashville Pussy. Her husband, the rhythm player does the lead vocals.
    Lou

Looking forward to my day in court.

Yep, I remember that one being shown on Night Flight, too. I also remember seeing them on a Windham Hill concert on PBS (with Michael Hedges and Will Ackerman), where G.E. did the vocal on a song called Brown Rice.

Funny how he went from doing that sort of stuff to doing free improv music (which I gather is what he's been doing for about the last 20 years). W

I believe DiMeola also sang on one of the songs on Land Of The Midnight Sun.

    A few more:

    Wurzel (from Motorhead)
    Phil Campbell (ditto)
    Fast Eddie Clarke (ditto)
    Kirk Hammett (from Metallica)
Yngwie Malmsteen (at least his ego knows it's limits)

Love his slide playing on Mama Nature Said and the extended solo on The Rocker. I need to dig out the first two Thin Lizzy albums, haven't listened to those in ages.

I could be remembering this wrong, but I am pretty sure Clarke does a lead vocal on one of the Motorhead albums I own, but off the top of my head, I can't remember which one.

(checking Wiki) apparently, Fast Eddie sings on five different songs during his Motorhead tenure.

Thanks for the recommendation. I think I will do just that!

Oh, I never got the album, so of course I didn't know that before.

It's going well over here still. I trust you are taking good care of what amounts to a fairly hefty portion of my old CD collection?

D'oh. For some reason, I always think that's someone else singing.

Kind of guessing on these, but to my recollection no "lead" vocals:
    Steve Morse
    Ronnie Montrose
    John McLaughlin
    John Goodsall

Maybe we should mention Vic Johnson from [Sammy Hagar's] Waboritos, and The Circle.

Another Hagar band album: Gary Pihl (who formed Alliance with Robert Berry).

Do the G3 guitarists sing (Satriani, Vai, Johnson)?

Joe and Eric have sung some stuff on their albums. Not sure about Vai.

Half of Eric Johnson's catalog is vocal music, and yes, it's him singing lead.

Steve Vai has sung on occasion. He sings lead on Lovers Are Crazy on Flex-Able, and I believe he also sang on Fire Garden. Not sure what he's done since then.
