I listened a lot to older guitar fingerpicking artists like John Fahey, Bert Jansch & John Renbourn recently and I wanted to check out more recent artists with a more experimental approach like Faheys later works and going through an interesting book by Bruno Meillier & Phillipe Robert : Folk et Renouveau (2012, Le Mot Et Le Reste) I came upon 'The Six Organs Of Admittance', solo guitar ( and more) project by Ben Chasny.
I just started to get into his discography , but I already like his combination of fingerpicking guitar with drones and noise. I read in an interview with Chasny that he prefers Leo Kottke to John Fahey, but his aproach is closer to Fahey IMO and on some tracks you have the eastern feeling that reminds also Robbie Basho.
