Howard Levy is back with the Flecktones? Awesome!

Eric Marienthal has done good (we went to the same high school around the same time). Last I heard he had gone in for the whole smooth jazz nonsense of the 1990s. Glad to see he's playing real music now.

Hope this makes it to the left coast.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

Trailer for their 2015 album together. Even though I admire each artist, I was personally underwhelmed by this release of them together.

Is Fleck gradually working his way through the RTF lineup one at a time?

Saw the first show of the tour last night. A full set from each band, followed by a duet of Chick and Bela, then both bands on stage for a very loose version of The Message to close it out. 3-1/2 hours total with maybe a 30 minute break between sets. Almost all songs stretched out with solos. The Elektric Band played Charged Particles, Trance Dance, CTA, Alan Corday and a couple more and closed with Got a Match. Weckl and Marienthal seemed in particularly good form. It was my first time seeing the Flecktones although I'd seen Victor Wooten on the tour he did with Jimmy Herring a few years ago.

Seeing them Tuesday at the Count Basie in Red Bank. Very, very stoked indeed.

I'm a huge Bela fan. Seen the Flecktones a number of times with both reedmen. Also him and Abigail twice, him and my hero Edgar Meyer, him with Edgar and Zakir Hussain, him with the Banjo Summit, him during his Throw Down your Heart tour, him and Edgar as part of the American Acoustic gala at the Kennedy Center... and of course him and Chick.

Also went to a show when Wooten was touring with Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller.

I've only seen Chick Corea a couple of times besides the ones with Bela, and never this particular band before. So I am, say it again, stoked!

Seeing them play together is like watching a telepathy demonstration. Fleck is like that when he plays with Edgar Meyer, too.
