Really nice article! I learned a few things. I'd say maybe the author isn't hip to a lot of the Brit prog & Canterbury influences of HTM, but that's my only critique.
That's funny, Douglas Harr is the author of the book I just mentioned in http://www.progressiveears.org/forum...City-Of-Angels
Maybe this article is in this book?
Thanks.
By the way, the author is slightly wrong here:
Ron Riddle played at NEARFest 2000!The group reunited in the year 2000 with new keyboardist David Rosenthal replacing Kit Watkins and Joe Bergamini taking over on drums for a show at Nearfest followed later by release of The Muse Awakens (2004). T
Rick Kennell would be the one to approach. As the bassist in the band and as a music-industry financial planner, he is usually at the center of any HtM related project idea. He is incredibly nice and willing to chat (he is on the TalkBass Forum as "BassHappy.")
His financial site: http://www.indiefinancialnetwork.com/index.html
Everything Happy the Man: http://everythinghappytheman.com/home.html
And if you have most everything in the HtM world and still want more, don't forget about Rick's wife Leah Waybright. She has a an amazing CD called "Beauty Gone Wild" that has Rick and several of the HtM guys on it:

Thanks to the OP for this! I learned about Ten Jinn for the first time through the article.
I think I bought a copy of "Crafty Hands" after reading about HTM in a shortlived prog and prog-related magazine (that came w/bonus cassette tape) called i/e. Been a diehard fan ever since.
