I love Pawn Hearts and I adore its grandness in vision and scope of sound, yet Godbluff beats it for its stripped-down density and aura of vicious attack and charge. There were other elaborate expressions of aggression happening in British progressive rock by then (Krims, Gnidrolog a.o.), but none as displaying this sense of ferocious fury. Even a relatively easy-going track like "The Undercover Man" can only barely contain its stain of sheer anger.
I love Still Life as well, and would possibly also put that before PH.
