Update on the Official Keith Emerson Tribute Concert DVD

An update on the DVD for the Official Keith Emerson Tribute Concert on May 28, 2016

All editing is done for the video. We will be doing a 5.1 Blu-ray mix as well. Jerry LaFaro is dong an amazing cover recreating a classic scenario from the golden age of ELP (extremely poster-worthy). The performances are indicative of the A-list artists who performed them: Eddie Jobson, Jordan Rudess, Steve Porcaro, Steve Lukather, Gregg Bissonette, CJ Vanston, Joe Travers, Troy Luccketta, Vinnie Coliauta, Skunk Baxter, Brian Auger, Philippe Saisse, Mick Mahan, Rachel Flowers, Ed Roth, Aaron Emerson, Jonathan Sindelman, Mike Wallace, Travis Davis, Mike Wallace, Rick Livingstone, Kai Matsumoto, and Maestro Terje Mikkelsen. It's been a long year, a lot of it difficult, but we got all the way around the clock and we're still vertical... and we have an amazing night of music to show for it. It will be well worth the wait.

I know I will be looking forward to it. I'm very happy to hear there will be a 5.1 Blu-Ray available.

Very odd. There was even a big rollout of the cover artwork early in the year. Who releases cover art for a product, then a year later the product never comes out?

There are multiple cases of finished music product that ends up being "shelved" and never sees a release.

The DVD is still being released and a date has been set but they have not officially announced the release date yet.

In the DVD artwork, Tarkus should have had Keith's face.

Thanks for that, but I actually meant on that new artwork for the tribute - it would be much scarier!

I'll be getting it. What I saw of the actual event was pretty amazing.

On a related note, I think it would be great if Bonilla -- or someone -- would organize an annual (or semi-regular) "Keith-Fest" just so folks can gather and play all that amazing music. I'd hate to see a DVD get released and then Keith's music and memory just fades into the sunset.

I'd also like something similar done for Greg.

I sometimes stop and think: "Did actually see this event?!"

But oh YES, I sure was privileged being there and what a night it was, thank you KEITH and all those who honored him
