    Progstock!?

Does anyone know anything about http://www.progstock.com/?

Intriguing. A music festival on Governors Island maybe, judging from that zoom in to lower Manhattan?

Edit: Looks like New Jersey, and a great lineup. Could be the NJ Proghouse in Dunellen, I'll be there!

Hmmm...the name Progstock & the obvious NYC reference reeks of Portnoy involvement.

BTW, I dubbed ProgDay "Progstock" after attending my 1st one (I'm allowed as a Woodstock emeritus with comparative reference)

Whatever this is, some details are being announced on Marty Dorfman's Prog Doctor show on House of Prog now -- I missed the beginning! You can listen on House of Prog on Tune-In Radio.

That's a lot of bands for a weekend. Pretty strong line-up if you like mainstream prog. Looks like a ROSfest line-up.

Whether or not I have the energy and/or wherewithall to go, I'm heartened to see that a festival booked Rachel. About damn time.

I know there have been threads but I haven't read them. I kind of know who she is but never listened or watched.

I'm actually incredulous that you're not familiar with Rachel, Jed.

This is a quintessential, "has your head been under a rock?" moment.

Echolyn are the only band on that list that really excite me. I could end up going if it made sense with a bunch of friends there but it'd be my 4th festival of the year & 5th major trip for music. Doubt it's going to work.

I'm curious where it will be also. I doubt it will be the NJPH since it's not mentioned on there but you never know. My guess is a venue that seats between 200 and 600.

They haven't said - which I find kind of odd. I would think if this 3-day festival is really happening, they would have secured a venue by now that could be announced along with the bands. Zooming in on the next state over is odd as well. Guess time will tell.

announcing a fest and a lineup without announcing the venue is a premature announcement. hope this is just growing pains and not a sign of an unprofessional event.
