autobuy
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
Sounds great! I'll put it on the list of things to get soon.
I have been "autobuying" Djam Karet for over a decade. I have not been disappointed yet. The clips above sound great!
Should a band that played NearFest be considered "unknown"? Certainly not unknown within the Prog community! Love these guys, I mentioned last year my trip to Claremont CA and Rhino Records (owned by DK's drummer) where I picked me up some great DK discs. "Reflections from the Firepool" was one of my first mail-order discs back in pre-'net days ('89). I checked out the first clip above...great stuff from great band.
I haven't kept up to date with Djam Karet , the last I bought was Reflections From The Firepool, which was ages ago but I liked a lot at the time, I'll give these new tracks a listen later.

I was right behind you with Burning The Hard City, which I got from Wayside. And I've picked up everything ever since. One of my favorite bands!
This time I couldn't wait for the physical copy and listened to the whole thing on their Bandcamp page. Lotsa 'Tron & Minimoog! Henry's on bass on six tracks.
Yeah, you have a few to pick up! Burning The Hard City, The Devouring, The New Dark Age, A Night For Baku, The Trip, etc.!

The Devouring is currently in the CD player in my car.
What are the odds?
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.
Their previous offering, The Trip, initially looked like it would be cornball and dated. Upon listening however, it turned out to be one of the better extended spacey trippy things I've heard in awhile -- a single 42-minute track that holds together very well. I'll be getting this one as well.
Haven't bought anything from them since the live in the studio release from at least 4 or 5 years ago... I'll listen to the camples later.

I quite like Swamp of Dreams, as it has a lot of their hall mark sounds that drew me to them, in the first place. I am still adjusting to the new one, with its heavier emphasis on synths. Going to give it another spin tonight.

Perfect!
I also pretty much buy what this band puts out. I haven't gotten this one yet, but I will before too long. I really liked The Trip too.
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
I really love how the album starts, but for me, slows down a bit by the end. I still like it though.
With this release, I've been spurred to relisten to their back catalogue. Up to Burning The Hard City now...boy has this band changed in 'recent' years. (Not a criticism, just an observation)
Please don't ask questions, just use google.
Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.
Regenerator 3017 was one of the cool discs I picked up at Rhino. Who was it among us who described it as Camel doing a porn soundtrack?
I put in my order. I'm looking forward to hearing it.
