    Kansas Live on Rock Concert

Forgive the sound quality, but this Rock Concert performance of Kansas Journey From Mariabronn is just breath taking. I wonder if the debut album could be remixed to bring out the dynamics which were there in the live performances.

I have a better video of that on a DVD somewhere. I'm sure there must be a cleaner copy on Youtube too.

This performance is available in perfect quality on the Sail On box set DVD. There are several other DKRC tunes on that DVD as well making that an essential purchase.

Can I Tell You, Journey From Mariabronn,Death of Mother Nature Suite from '74
    Icarus and Pinnacle from '75

Those are on the Sail On DVD

Down the Road and Mysteries And Mayhem where also performed '75 but the original tapes where to damaged to use for a transfer.
(those two are on YouTube though)

I think the master tapes of the first Kansas album are lost, if I remember correctly.
"Arf." -- Frank Zappa, "Beauty Knows No Pain" (live version)

I liked the comments on the documentary that came out a couple years ago, where the band said they were actually playing to an empty room, and any audience shots you saw, "weren't of our audience".

Kirshner was a cheapskate. I wouldn't be surprised if he had the studio re-use the master tape for some cartoon soundtrack.

That may be why there aren't any decent copies of Rush's performance around anywhere.
