I just picked up a pair of tickets to the Tower Theatre show. I opted for second row center of the lower balcony due to the price and knowing that the sound/visuals from there should be ideal.
I only really know Equinoxe and love it. I have no idea what to expect.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Quite a bit more oontzy than I'd prefer.
Sounds rather EDM at the beginning but I like the older pieces.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Well...this is apparently the Electronica tour, so I'm expecting a heavy emphasis on the stuff from those two volumes, with a batch of oldies for good measure.

I was planning to buy a ticket, but watching that preview I think I'll pass. Electronica spectacle is just not my scene.
Eh, I'll still go if I can score a ticket tomorrow during the general sale. It won't likely be the highlight of 2017, but might still be fun to see.

Presale code for Boston is superstar
Bought 2 tickets $55 each halfway back, should be fun.

Regular tickets are now on sale and they aren't exactly flying off the shelf (for the Philly show). Doesn't seem like there's much interest.
Keswick might have been the better place

Yeah the Tower Theatre is a big place for this to be held, but hey, can't complain. Looks to be a fun show.
I scored a ticket for The Tower Theater front row loge. I really like sitting there. I too was shocked how slowly tickets were selling. Personally, I would pick the Academy of Music or The Merriam Theater over The Tower and The Keswick. Oh well, that's what the promoter chose. Should be a great evening, especially hooking up with John Battema for dinner before the show!
Thank God he is not booked at The Electric Factory. No thanks.

For those passing up on the Jarre tour. Keep a couple of things in mind perhaps. He will be playing Oxygene 3, so if you like the old stuff you'll like that.
A Jarre tour is rare. A Jarre tour in the U.S. the rarest of the rare.
AND, Jarre is 68 years old. How many of these tours do you think he has in him. Musicians are dying left & right people!
Yea, I'm hoping this doesn't turn into another "Tangerine Dream at the Electric Factory" situation from a few years ago where they ended up selling under 100 tickets or whatever and had to move to Underground Arts. Don't get me wrong...I hate the EF, and loved the vibe at UA, but I have to think another venue would have been a better choice here as well. Doesn't help that there has been zero promotion thus far that I have seen. Nothing via e-mail, maybe one perfunctory Facebook post as of today, etc. A good amount of tickets were blocked off for the album pre-sale, but even then it seems like a fairly steep hill to climb for an artist with a very niche following as JMJ has in the States.

An okay ticket was going to be close to $100 here and I realized I didn't want to see him that much.
Same here, okay ticket $55

Just for curiosity. This was your 1st Jarre album you heard? In my case my introduction with JJM was with Oxygene around 1977/1978. When he released Equinoxe at that time it sounded to my ears too pop and did not like it too much. Now on these days I think much different about Equinoxe which I like it a lot. I'm asking because the introduction point in time I believe "in general" makes a huge difference.
