Wow! That is quite a surprise. Hard to believe this effort will be profitable but I'm definitely in for New Jerusalem at least.

BTW Amazon lists several of the Blake reissues as being released on Jan 27.

OTOH if you don't want to wait, NJ is available for only $1900!

Very interesting. Blake was always a little prickly about royalties etc. Obviously that must have worked out. Good news for the rest of us, there must be some real gems in the vaults.

I spoke to Jonny @ GAS a few months ago & asked him whether a Tim Blake box would be possible, along the lines of the recent Hillage release, ideally to include audio / video of Tim's performance at the Uncon 10 years ago (which has never been released). I guess this isn't financially viable / going to happen sadly.

I just noticed it's on the New Jerusalem reissue. Odd to see it split like that.
(Found my Surf 45 buried in a Surf Music listing years ago. Price was right ! )

Slightly off-topic, but anyone heard from Vicky/Esoteric lately? I always enjoyed her updates that she would post here.

Tim is a nice guy. Exchanged a few emails with him a few years back.

I wonder what the sound of Crystal Machine will be like. the vinyl never sounded that good, and I believe there was an issue with the source tapes.

I already have both C.M and N.J on CD and I'm wondering if the sonic improvements of the new "remastered" versions and extra (bonus) tracks will be sufficient to motivate me to buying them again.
Regarding the sound of C.M, the source is mostly taken from a live recording and though not of the highest (studio) quality is very acceptable to my ears and I have never noticed any big issues or defects detrimental to my listening pleasure. The CD version I have is slightly better, but not by far...
