I obtained a Fisher linear turntable (actually it's triangular tracking, but it says linear on it) and hooked it up to first the dvd inputs on my receiver, then to the inputs for a tape deck. It works very well, but the sound is very low when I tested with a single I bought (Opus-"Live is Life"). Why would it be so low? It's not tinny or indicative of anything not working or being hooked up improperly-i can hear it through the speakers, although the subwoofer is not active, just the shelf speaker units. Can this be remedied? Is it going to require the stylus be replaced? Is it the recording? Or is it something else?
