If anyone is interested, I have a Like New Behringer Muti Effects Processor for sale.
I bought this from a elderly couple here in Florida on Reverb about a month ago. He is selling off a lot of gear because he's losing his eyesight.
It was listed as Like New and never used before, and was purchased from Sweetwater. He never registered it for warranty as well.
I'm only selling because I wasn't thinking about workflow when I bought it, but I don't have enough inputs in my Presonus 1824c audio interface, and have to unplug one of my keyboards in order to use the stereo return from the Behringer.
Also, I found the presets a bit difficult to navigate from the menu, but I can confirm, the reverb sounds gorgeous.
These are on backorder at many online stores and hard to come by.

I'm asking $100 and the buyer will pay shipping cost. PayPal is probably the easiest and best method.
I can provide my ebay and Reverb ratings and feedback if you wish..all 100%

No idea. If so, I missed it. The liner notes read:

"The final soundtrack consisted of partial elements of this rejected score together with various pieces of early 80s Schulze recordings edited and re-contextualized. Finally rediscovered, the music has been assembled and presented here exactly as featured in the film, documenting a previously lost entry of German Kosmische Musik soundtracking a forgotten piece of Australian Gothic."

"It was planned to be used as soundtrack (probably for NEXT OF KIN), but wasn't."

I wonder if he's picked up a Prophet 5 or 10 reissue?
The Roland JD800 has a special magic to it, and one of my biggest regrets of the synths I've owned and sold. The other is the Alesis Andromeda.

Interesting piece. Though even though I love synthesizers, I think prog would also have happened without them. Not really much synthesizers in Van der Graaf Generator or Renaissance, I think.

The Roland JD800 has a special magic to it, and one of my biggest regrets of the synths I've owned and sold. The other is the Alesis Andromeda.

Do they still sell that, or a scaled-down version? It seems like a really powerful machine. If Erik Norlander uses it, it must be great.

No it's been out of production since 2010. I had one from the last batch.
Erik Norlander worked at Alesis as Synthesizer Product Manager, and I believe he was involved in some of the production of the Andromeda A6. I have a video concert of The Rocket Scientists in (I think Russia) where he is playing the A6. He seems to use it a lot..reminds me, I need to bring out the Dukes of the Orient cds tonight(the second one highlights his array of synths a lot).
Another famous A6 user is Tom Brislin, he uses it in the Magnification concert DVD.

I absolutely agree with you about how special the JD 800 is. It has such a hands-on quality.

Erik was also involved with, and demoed, the Alesis Fusion. I saw Erik play a solo set (no backup players) way back in 2001. He had his modular setup and various hardware synths, plus Greg Walker's for-hire Mellotron and a Mac book. The set consisted of material from his first solo album, Threshold, and various instrumentals from the Rocket Scientists albums that were out at the time. Needless to say, it was grand!

I had an Andromeda A6 for a few years, but traded it for a different future synth. I liked it, and it had lots of expressive potential, but for whatever reason, I never really developed a relationship with it.

For those who are intrigued by the expressive potential of the A6, I'd strongly suggest the ASM Hydrasynth which yes, is digital and not analog...but I seriously doubt most folks would ever tell the difference, save for the drop on their electric bill and VASTLY lower hit on the ol' credit card. And in terms of expressive potential, the Hydrasynth also brings wavetable synthesis, polyphonic aftertouch and MPE to the party.

As much as I love the A6, it's not a one synth does all type of synthesizer. People have complained about it's lack of snappy envelopes, and for me it took quite a bit of time to program certain sounds.
Like many analog synths, it has it's own character which I think is due to it's proprietary ASICs. Perhaps if Alesis had used off the shelf components instead of developing their own chips, (which was very expensive), instead of contributing to the Alesis bankruptcy, it would be easier to replicate or resurrect this wonderful analog today during the analog revival.
I do believe the quest for this synth is based more on it's legendary status than out=analog-ing the products available today.

I've heard some demos of the ASM Hydrasynth and it sounds stunning. I think out of many of the new synths I've seen lately, this one would be one I would seriously consider.

$1299 is indeed WAY more reasonable. It sounds awesome, too!
