The same for me, more or less. Mostly money to replace stuff, that has broken.

The Hydra sounds great, Battema, I'm sure you're enjoying checking out all the features. Update us when you feel like it.

^^ Thanks. That was cool to watch. Nice to see my only The Who-single featured (Relay). I guess I was about 12 when I got it for my birthday (I actually wanted to have Tommy, but my parents didn't want to spent that much money).

Here is Willem Twee Studios, an amazing electronic music studio in the Netherlands that breathes the ideas and techniques of Schaeffer, Stockhausen, Xenakis and brings them alive for a new generations of musicians.

I very much count it as one of the best by either artist.

    Excellent!
It should go rather well next to your Deckard's Dream.

    Xerxes arrived yesterday! Initial thoughts:

    - I love my Deckard's Dream but it took a while to iron out the glitches and kinks and eventually needed a bit of a rebuild to get functioning. So that kind of took a little of the "joy" out of those initial impressions. Not so with the Xerxes: it sounds amazing, huge and glorious right out of the box. The pads and big fat analog textures are the biggest thrill right out the gate.

    - Interface is great; again, slightly smoother than DDRM was out the gate. Also, the presets are much more immediate and playable. The very first preset is the Lazer Harp that Jean-Michel Jarre used all over Rendevous.

    - I love the smaller desktop format; it's lighter and feels like a rock solid build. It does include rack ears if one wants to mount it instead.

    - I can't wait to try experimenting with MPE and polyphonic aftertouch on this beauty.

In short: don't worry!! If Mr. Jarre slacks off on giving us Oxygene IV, V, and VI anytime soon...no worries gents, I have us covered

Inspired by the Elka Syntex, I read. I think Robert Jan Stips used an Elka Syntex in Nits.
