If he were to tour the US, we'd want Hillage solo and Khan material??

Chris Cutler turned Hillage on to Todd Rundgren? Wow, you learn something new every day.
The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off

He also turned him on to Gong, would you believe?
They were housemates for a while in 1971-72, and around the time of Gong's first UK tour (October/November), they did a Peel session which Cutler insisted Hillage listen to, which was the first time Hillage heard Gong. Of course he knew about Soft Machine and Daevid wasn't totally unknown quantity to him, but he didn't really know what he'd been up to since the early Softs, whereas Cutler did. This was to prove the starting point of Hillage's involvement in Gong, where he seized the first opportunity to work with them (when Kevin Ayers & Decadence toured France and Gong attended one of the gigs).
