Glad you liked it, doods!
I'm not sure I've ever seen The Rembrandts mentioned here, but they made some very high quality, well written pop music. Loved the two part vocal harmonies and the playing wasn't too shabby either! I was never crazy about the theme song from the TV show, "Friends" (or the show itself... and unfortunately, I had long term relationships with a couple of women that loved it), but everything on that "Untitled" album was really good!
Actually, I've never heard "Original Soundtrack," being the non-completist kinda guy that I am. I heard "Deceptive Bends" once, but didn't like it as much as the two 10cc albums I have, "How Dare You" and "Bloody Tourists." To me, HDY almost qualifies as prog and since the OP was asking for "non-prog," I chose BT. Though it's not a highly popular opinion amongst the 10cc fans here, I love that album!
Hey Progtopia, I haven't heard Map of the Floating City yet - how do you like it and where do you rank it. My fave Dolby is Flat Earth then Aliens Ate My Buick. Of course Astronauts and Heretics is great too.

President Harry S. Truman
And he listed Captain Beyond's first album, which imo IS prog, and that's what I said! Read it again.

^^Love that song. Is that indicative of that album?
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain, Cosmic Slop, Standing on the Verge of Getting it On, Let's Take it to the Stage
Wonderful, fantastic stuff. And much of it is small-p progressive.
High Vibration Go On - R.I.P. Chris Squire
I suppose some instrumental Haindling would fit here.
