    Calyx website question

I just saw that the French provider SFR closed since the 21 november 2016 the "Pages Perso" service, where THE Canterbury website Calyx was hosted. Any news for a new place ? Aymeric ?

To visitors and followers of Calyx – The Canterbury Website. The website has been down since yesterday as a result of my Internet provider of 18 years (SFR, formerly Club-Internet) deciding to unilaterally suspend all users’ personal pages with no explanation, excuse or compensation. An announcement to this effect was made some months ago, to widespread disbelief, and I assumed this was a blunder or joke on their part. Unfortunately, this decision is now in effect, and Calyx has been taken down. Needless to say, I will cancel my subscription and change providers as soon as possible, and the website will be back online. Sorry for the inconvience.

^Unlikely SFR is the second biggest private French Telecom company. As Aymeric mentionned, their announcement sounds like a bad joke. It's more likely they get rid of "useless" stuff that does not generate profit.

There are lots of cheap good hostimng companies out there, no reason to stay with jerks.
I use this company for several sites.

Thanks for mentioning this. I was really taken by surprise. This seems the stupidest & most disrespectful thing one can do to a customer. A friend tells me that company is in pretty bad shape. I myself hope it goes under ASAP - they don't deserve my respect, let alone my custom.
