Tim Bowness + iamthemorning team-up tonight

    Can't make it myself, but...

Tim Bowness + band (including Andrew Booker of Sanguine Hum and ex-Peter Banks fame) and iamthemorning are teaming up for a joint London show, including combining forces on some pieces. This repeats their Dutch show from 2 nights ago.

That would be worth checking out. Hopefully someone can make it and report.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

Saw them on Saturday in the Netherlands. At times I was really digging Bowness' part of the set but at other times I was getting really annoyed by the ADHD way of playing by Andrew Booker on his electronic drum / percussion set. It was like he was throwing everything BUT the kitchen sink into it and that was quite distracting at times. The Iamthemorning set however was truly breathtaking: piano, violin, cello, bodhran / drums, bass guitar and the stellar vocals of Marjana kept an audience of plus 300 totally captivated. Dug it so much that I will be seeing them again this week here in the Netherlands (yeah, crazy schedule for them: Saturday NL, today UK and as of Wednesday 3 gigs in the Netherlands again).

Really, anybody who likes classical chamber prog with touches of Kate Bush and Tori Amos should definitely go check them out. Their latest album Lighthouse is quite extraordinary.

I was at the Bush Hall gig on Monday and iamthemorning were sensational. Marjana is totally captivating and engaging, and sings like an angel. Gleb's grand piano was simply magnificent.

I enjoyed the Tim Bowness set too but iamthemorning were on a whole different level. I hope to see them again very soon.

I enjoyed both sets (I hid at the back). Mike Bearpark is a great guitar player. Nice to see so much joy in the room. Good stuff.
