Thread: Upsilon Acrux in concert, for those who've experienced it - is this representative?

    Much like my experience when listening to Trout Mask Replica or Magma, I love it but it's so far over my head it's not even funny!!! But I can appreciate it for the complexity and beauty. What a great, great band Upsilon Acrux is.

    If you watch the whole Ups' clip posted, they actually perform a rearranged version of "Veteran's Day Poppy" (closing track from Trout Mask) at around 11 min. in.

    Beefheart was apparently always a very strong influence.
