i caved in and got another Transatlantic album..... The Whilrwind
has all the element of a Neal Morse concept album.
but just like Koleidoscope. Roine Stolt's voice is just horrid.
listening to his voice makes me wanna pull out my teeth with pliers.

It's just the NEARfest and London Astoria 2002 shows, each of them 2 CDs/1 DVD. Definitely worth getting if you don't already have those shows elsewhere (A Night's Tale, etc.) And it is a beautiful looking set, really stands out on the shelf. I've been reading up on it though (what little info is available), and the legality of it seems questionable. Discogs doesn't block it (they actually only list the vinyl version so far) or anything else from this 'label' (Coda Publishing) but it just comes across as dodgy to me somehow. Perhaps one of these 'grey area' releases like the early Rush radio broadcast releases. But it was so attractive just sitting there in the store, it was an instant buy - and I don't always know whether something is legit in an actual brick and mortar shop like that - which is how I ended up with bootleg/knockoff copies of Mike Rutherford's Smallcreep's Day and Guru Guru's Kanguru some years ago.

I much prefer the March 9 performances(SOMA 028).Better sound and, imo, more animated playing from Dagar. That concert took place in the Seattle home of an Indian friend of Dagar, and the intimate setting seems to bring out the best in him.The other cd isn't bad, but if you're gonna get one, this one's my reco.

Finally arrived, after a very long wait even with cancelling the order and the payment: Colosseum II - Wardance. So the payment had to be opened again, because I'm fair and if I order something and it arrives, I want to pay for it.
Now waiting till Electric Savage is re-released.
