Yeah, 'The Lateness...' is the one I had purchased. He does some interesting things with chords and such... slightly XTC ish almost. I'll have to check out the later ones.

Progressive Italia 70, hard to pass on this. Never had much Italian prog. A little backfilling for a good price.

I like it. I was a big metal-head back in my teens, Rainbow, Sabbath, Motorhead, Purple, Saxon, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Iron Maiden. For some reason Judas Priest completely passed me by. I've been revisiting a lot of my early metal recently so decided to check this one out. It's a lot mellower than I remember back then but I've probably got used to the more extreme modern stuff. It's a fun record. Probably go for British Steel or Scream For Vengeance next.

British Steel is a great one, but Stained Class is their best-ever, imo.

If you don't know that one, try it.

signed, the man you figured probably didn't know anything about Priest....

    Da Nuge at the top?

I always thought he was hugely over-rated as a solo artist, even before he opened his mouth.

Like that, not those bands, if I remember correctly the main bands on the back were

    AC/DC, Motorhead, Saxon, Iron Maiden.

I actually went from that to one with Leonard Cohen's Songs From A Room painted on the back!

Nazareth not a band for you back then? They were pretty big late 70's.

Glad you like it. I played the hell out of this album in the 1970s. It's a sentimental favourite. I suspect this also represents the origins of Progressive Metal. This is the peak for me but British Steel and Stain Class are solid releases.
