Awesome. Probably their best, although I have a soft spot for Slow Riot In New Zero Kanada. Have you checked out A Silver Mt. Zion?

I was first introduced to GY!BE via their debut album (I think) called F#A# (infinity) and I was pretty amazed by it. From there I began seeking out other stuff of that ilk, and eventually bought the A Silver Mt. Zion album He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts Of Light Sometimes Grace The Corners Of Our Rooms (typically catchy title). Here's a track from that one:

Ton Scherpenzeel - The lion's dream

A solo-album by Kayak keyboardplayer Ton Scherpenzeel, with Celtic and renaissance influences.
It contains 3 reworkings of old Kayak songs
    Woe and alas (from Kayak)
Relics from a distant age (from The last encore)
Dead bird flies forever (from Starlight dancer)

It also contains a song which I already knew from Ougenweide - Sol.

Had occasion to pick up a few discs from a Prog buddy. A few of these I was not familiar with nor had heard any samples of. I enjoy plunging into unknown albums with the anticipation of what will come out of the speakers.

Andy Jackson – Signal to Noise
Barclay James Harvest – Everyone is Everybody Else (Remastered)
    Beardfish - +4626- Comfort Zone (2-discs)
Brainticket – Past, Present & Future
Corvus Stone – Corvus Stone II
    Darwin’s Radio – Template for a Generation
    Dewa Budjana – Hasta Karma
    Discipline – Unfolded Like Staircase
    Exovex – Radio Silence
Fireballet – Night on Bald Mountain
    Fireballet – Two Too…
    Flying Colors – Second Nature
Gentle Giant – Acquiring the Taste
    Gryphon – Treason
    Harvest – Northern Wind
IQ – Tales from the Lush Attic (1 Bonus cut)
    Modest Midget – Crysis
    Monarch Trail – Skye
Not a Good Sign – From a Distance
Pink Floyd – The Endless River
    Syzygy – Cosmos & Chaos 2013 20th Ann Ed
THEO – The Game of Ourborous
Van der Graaf Generator – Merlin Atmos Live

The two Fireballet discs are on Tachika Records (didn't know that before these arrived in the mail). I have a vague recollection this has been associated with a pirate label? Anyway, time to dive in!

Do you have the Surplus 1980? It's Moe from SGM. Carla and a bunch of SGM folks guest on it. I haven't heard it yet, but the samples sounded just tremendous.

Also, the Gavin cd is killer. The arrangements are amazing. I was going to pass on it until Mike played some on the show - I couldnt believe how great it is. As for Pepper, I felt it was time I owned it ... Prompted by a Rock Appreciation class I took. Beach Boys Smile is likely next.

Must admit I didn't think much of the Gavin track on your show the other day, I'll check out Surplus 1980. Talking SGM related do you have any Book Of Knots or Tin Hat? Both Carla projects that are outstanding.

No, I sampled Tin Hat and it didn't really connect with me. I don't have Book of Knots. I've only recently gotten into SGM big time so I'm behind on the side projects.
