I was first introduced to GY!BE via their debut album (I think) called F#A# (infinity) and I was pretty amazed by it. From there I began seeking out other stuff of that ilk, and eventually bought the A Silver Mt. Zion album He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts Of Light Sometimes Grace The Corners Of Our Rooms (typically catchy title). Here's a track from that one:

Ton Scherpenzeel - The lion's dream
A solo-album by Kayak keyboardplayer Ton Scherpenzeel, with Celtic and renaissance influences.
It contains 3 reworkings of old Kayak songs
Woe and alas (from Kayak)
Relics from a distant age (from The last encore)
Dead bird flies forever (from Starlight dancer)
It also contains a song which I already knew from Ougenweide - Sol.
Synaesthesia - Synaesthesia
Muffins - Manna/Mirage
Guapo - Obscure Knowledge

Had occasion to pick up a few discs from a Prog buddy. A few of these I was not familiar with nor had heard any samples of. I enjoy plunging into unknown albums with the anticipation of what will come out of the speakers.

Exovex – Radio Silence
Fireballet – Night on Bald Mountain

The two Fireballet discs are on Tachika Records (didn't know that before these arrived in the mail). I have a vague recollection this has been associated with a pirate label? Anyway, time to dive in!

Do you have the Surplus 1980? It's Moe from SGM. Carla and a bunch of SGM folks guest on it. I haven't heard it yet, but the samples sounded just tremendous.
Also, the Gavin cd is killer. The arrangements are amazing. I was going to pass on it until Mike played some on the show - I couldnt believe how great it is. As for Pepper, I felt it was time I owned it ... Prompted by a Rock Appreciation class I took. Beach Boys Smile is likely next.![]()

No, I sampled Tin Hat and it didn't really connect with me. I don't have Book of Knots. I've only recently gotten into SGM big time so I'm behind on the side projects.
