Having sought out that PFM CD after hearing an mp3 version of it and either not finding it or finding it at some exhorbitant price, imagine my surprise when I saw that it had been re-issued (and at a reasonable price). A wonderful CD and a great come back by one of my favourite bands of the 70s.

    Meanwhile, recent purchases:

'A Love Supreme' - John Coltrane
'End of an Ear' - Robert Wyatt
'Jokamies' - Pekka Pohjola - not my favourite of his but the only one of his I didn't have.
'Elegies To Lessons Learnt' - Iliketrains

Just ordered Opeth's next to last release "Heritage". I was afraid that I might wear out "Pale Communion" as I have had it on the table a lot. Also picked up Mendelssohn's Trio No. 1 and No. 2. with Yo Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax and Itzhak Perlman.

On a whim last week, I ordered Shadowland's Cautionary Tales 5-disc boxed set, which is basically everything they ever released all in one place. It was a bit of a gamble as I hadn't heard a note of them before, but I do like Arena and other such bands, so I had my fingers crossed. Turns out I needn't have worried - there's some great neo on here! I really enjoyed a lot of it. It's a relief, as I was concerned about potential buyer's remorse. I know Neo as a sub-genre gets snickered at a lot around here, but I rather like a bit of it now and then, and I quite liked these albums.

I love Christmas. I always order myself some stuff too.
