I received the Paolo Vinaccia box yesterday. This stuff is great! I like it more than any Rypdal studio album I've heard.
I love the keyboard player, Stale Storlokken. I'm looking into his band, Elephant 9. There's an excellent live set on YouTube.
That Vinaccia box interests me.I may spring for it.

The recordings have a big sound, and the drums sound very good. Musically, there's more interactive group improv
and intensity, and less of the spacey guitar sound sculptures that he does on the studio albums. So this is right up
my alley.
