I see Rick Wakeman's White Rock has been reissued. No MP3's for that, I will get the CD soon, either at Vintage Vinyl or from Amazon.

I have his Winobranie CD, which is fantastic! A very good recording for a 40 year old album recorded in Poland.

I listened to this yesterday, I'm shocked how good this is. It will now be the definitive version of "Journey To..." for me, I don't see a reason to play the original anymore. I really like most of the new sections on this, and the recording production is top notch. The vocals are better than on the original, even the much maligned Ashley Holt. Guess he's better in a studio setting. Of course he sings less on this, which many would think is an improvement.

I also listened to the Gentle Giant debut. Sure, they hadn't quite figured out their sound yet, kind of a primitive version of them. But quite the strong debut. I'm starting to finally "get" what they are all about after listening to them over the past decade plus.

Played all of "Obscurred by Clouds" by Floyd, some tasty tunes here, much could fit in with the "Meddle" album. Then I played the 4 live tracks on Ummagumma, and while I don't care for their psychedlic era, these are the best of the lot to my ears.

Saga- Sagacity (Excellent! Amazing production and sound!)
Yes- Heaven and Earth (The total opposite to the new Saga, the songs themselves aren't that bad, but the inconsistent production and mix gets in the way of the songs and my enjoyment of them. File under: straight to the shelf).

Good album. Have you heard Fiasco 1996 & Rude 2005? IMO they are better, but I bought Grosso Modo too due to the presence of Guy Segers
