    A strange pairing of 2 solo-albums by 2 Utopia keyboard-players
Roger Powell - Air pocket and M. Frog (Jean Yves Labat) - M. Frog
Still wondering where to put it and how to archive it.

Yeah I see your problem there...I guess it is this background style of instrumental music you can find in the documentary films sometimes....

I'm not sure what you mean. Problem is, do I put it under Roger Powell, or under Jean Yves Labat?

I like, but I think I prefer the Mahavishnu Orchestra with Hammer and Goodman

I see you are using different type of archive system..I assumed that you are trying to archive based on the genres...I cannot help you with your system...it is too detailed...

I don't do genres. There is just music I like and music I don't like and the latter ain't in my collection.

Both Air Pocket and M. Frog have vocals and M. Frog has some members of The Band.
The cover says it should be filed under Todd Rudgrens Utopia, but I don't think I should do that.

And Jan Hammer plays drums on it and he's really good. Excellent record.

I have The First Seven Days and was surprised at how laid back it was considering Hammer had just left the explosive Mahavishnu Orchestra but maybe that's why he went in that direction. The followup Oh Yeah? is certainly more dynamic.
