Just took the plunge into Spocks Beard - I have had Octane for years - didn't listen to it. Finally got around to it and decided to obtain more. I bought V, Snow, Day for Night.. a couple of others I cant recall right now.

Nice Digibook in the same style like the 40th anniversary one. I like the remix/remaster as it sounds much more transparent and clearer
than the rather muddy and noisy version I had before.

But I'm not one of those audiophil guys who might have problems like ist to loud and to heavy denoised. If you want to be sure ask one of them.

The live concert is also nice because you get some songs that are not on other live CDs, and it has more brass than usual which makes it somewhat different.

Didn't like the new studio track though, which is to much spoken stuff over drum machines for my taste.

Straight Shooter - My time - Your time
Straight Shooter - Rough 'n though

Sky records made a fine mess of these 2, which I found rather cheap.
On My time - Your time side one and site two are switched and there is a bonus-track that comes from another album
On Rough 'n though the order of the songs is completely off. Besides 1 song of the origninal album is missing and there are 2 songs from another album added.

Yanks, your McCartney purchase reminds me how much I want to get Wings Over America. Always loved that album. Always felt it was one of the better live discs to come out in the '70s.

    Regards,
    Jon

I think it's one of the better McCartney live albums and I prefer it over his latest live-album.

It's easily my favorite live album ever. I was a huge McCartney/Beatles fan in the 70's as a kid, and my oldest brother thankfully owned this, in it's three album glory. The studio version of "Maybe I'm Amazed" is good, but I'm shocked at how much better this was live, one of my favorite songs ever. This was McCartney are his performing peak, with a great live band, and a ton of energy. I was too young to see them on this tour, but I'm hoping the Blu-ray will allow me to time travel a bit and see this close to what attendees witnessed. I did see him live finally in 1990, and with 10th row seats at Giants Stadium. Loved the show, kind of a dream come true. But the performance pales in comparison to the 76 tour.
