Bump again... and this time I'll add to the fun - I reworked that last grotty Timmy painting I did - I also have the hook up through a most excellent man to get Timmy into prints. Not sure of the exact details on what paper - but I think A3 scale (A2 would be perfect actually) and if you're at the show - BUY ONE! All profits to Tim of course. Here is a little detail of his Ibanez Iceman guitar.jpg
Happy birthday Tim! You olde dog! Love you man

Preparing for a full-on, beginning-to-end Cardiacs discography listen over the next few days. Started on the fringes first though....Sea Nymphs, Spratley's Japs and Mr. & Mrs. Smith all found their way to my stereo last night... 'twas a good night of listening, and I maintain that Spratley's is the best of the side projects (love 'em all though)!
I still do not own any William D. Drake however. I have been delinquent in this regard... the time will soon come, I can feel it! Recommendations on what to grab first?

The Rising Of The Lights is probably my favorite of those I own.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Bill has never made a bad album. They are equally brilliant. That said, while I love them all, Tim's production on the debut gives it an extra stink of strange, spooky, and otherworldly magic.
Still, Rising Of The Lights is as good a place as any.
...also, his album of solo piano pieces, Yew's Paw, is sensational.
Thanks chaps. I shall endeavour to bump these way up high on the priority list!
Edit: Several are in stock at Wayside, but I need to wait and see what happens with Canada Post, who are set to be locked out/strike on Monday.

Apparently, it's been made specifically for Tim's fundraiser in Preston in a few weeks. Details below:

*Medium* dry?
It should be DRY AS A BONE IN THE DESERT. Just like the amount of empathy and human kindness behind the Alphabet Business Concern.

If you can make it to The Whole World Window benefit this coming Saturday - -- grab one of the prints too! Limited... and only at the show - but we're working on how to handle outside interests for those who cant make it to England and who live state-side. More details to follow. All profits to TIM of course.

Hey Fishies, I've found another one of those Cardiacs-alike riffs, that the boys must have heard back in the day when they were absorbing all that early 70s stuff. It's in Bird of Prey from Uriah Heep's Salisbury album from 1971
Listen to the guitar break from 1.14 to 1.36. And if the recognition lightbulb doesn't go on in your head at 1.18 then you can't possibly call yourself a Cardiacs fan. It is repeated at 2.28 to 2.50.
